All of the rugs offered here online were hand picked by me.
I went through many dusty piles in many different areas to
be able to offer you the finest selection of the finest
available rugs. These rugs and collectible items are
all hand woven, and all have unique characteristics,
depending on the area or tribe from which they originated.
My main motivation in selling these pieces is to provide
support for those who continue to weave them. Because
of all the industrialization, weaving is more and more
becoming a lost art form. If you're interested, you can learn more details about
the origins of these rugs in the LEARN
SECTION.
Now, before you start, please go
make yourself a cup of your favorite beverage, preferably tea. If you
happen to have any pistachios or nougat on hand, take a hand full. Cookies
will do. Then sit in a comfortable chair, and browse, browse, browse-
while sipping and munching, of course! I'm hoping that one day technology
will advance far enough for me to be able to beam you tea or Pepsi and cookies
while you're browsing my site.
Rugs
are generally called by the name of the context in which
they are made. Different designs originated within a
certain tribe, village or city and they bear the name of
that association. So don't be discouraged by the long
names. Instead, think about your home, tastes and
colors and see what you can find among these amazing works
of art!

family, your lifestyle, your tastes (and, need I say, budget?).
3) Above all, have a good time! Textiles
are from unique cultures and these are all
handmade, so the maker just adds a
fascinating story to each piece.
So, pick what you like! You're the one who gets
to live with them! They will become part of your family and part of your
memories. Learning about them can become a hobby! Different carpets have different personalities and, therefore,
fit different kinds of homes and tastes. All of the carpets here are
beautiful, of good value, and will appreciate with time. I've already
hand-selected them to meet this criterion!
