Buying Online: In my
store, there's no click and buy. Maybe it's bad for me,
but it's better for you. Selecting the perfect rug for
you takes time. You're worth it. Your hard wood floors
are worth it. Your castle, home or office is worth it!
Finding the right rug and the right look- it's worth it!
It's taken me over four years to hand-pick and collect my
current inventory!
If you see a piece which
interests you, please email me. Let me know the name, the
measurements, etc. so we are clear on what we're
discussing. If you want it right away, say so. If you
have questions, ask them. If you would like to see more
pictures, tell me. If you have a deadline, let me know
that, too. I'm happy to work with you.
Buying a rug is not like
buying a book on-line. I fully recognized that. Rugs are
not uniform products and they all have personalities.
They're art! I would prefer to correspond, interact,
discuss and help you find something you really like. If
you need something quickly, it can be done or I will tell
you if it's not possible or how long it will take!
I prefer to help you now,
rather than have you return something. So, with that in
mind, how can I help you?
Prices:
Prices in the store are
based on wholesale value, the fineness of weave, and the
size. They are fixed. Prices are the same both in
the bricks and mortar store and on the web site, unless
otherwise noted as a special promotional.
If you want that Middle
Eastern Rug Shop experience, either go to the Middle East,
or let me know in advance so I can start higher (I'm
joking). My prices are low, fair, competitive and reflect
the quality and age of what you're purchasing. I've
shopped in the Middle East a lot, and my prices are even
competitive with the prices there. In many cases, they're
lower because they are fixed and not based on what you
look like or how you're dressed (another joke). From
my experiences in stateside carpet stores, I know that my
prices are forty to fifty percent, sometimes as much as
seventy-five percent lower than other establishments.
Shipping and Handling:
Buyer pays shipping and
handling charges. Shipping charges are based on the
weight and dimensions of the package. Handling is based
on the cost of packing materials- usually $3 to $10,
depending on the size of the piece. If you have
preferences about shipping: 2-day, 3-day, 5-day, by ship,
by air, by truck, by camel, etc., please let me know.
Also, please let me know immediately upon receipt if there
was any damage to the box in which the item was sent, and
to the item.

Returns on Store and
On-Line Purchases: I allow the buyer ten days to
decide if they want to return it or not. I understand
that you're buying a rug on-line and that it may not be
all that you wanted when it arrives. Please notify me
within ten days of receipt of the item, and we can make
arrangements to have it shipped back. Buyer pays return
shipping costs. The full purchase price is refundable.
Initial shipping and handling charges are not.
Gift Certificates and
Wedding Registry:
Afarstar Persian Rugs is
pleased to offer gift certificates for any amount.
Just pay online or phone in your order, and we'll mail the
certificate to you or to the recipient. Certificates
are redeemable in the online store or at the bricks and
mortar store. Carpets are great and unique gifts!
If you are getting
married and would like to register to receive certain
carpets as wedding gifts from friends and family, check
