| The little
village of Nasrabad produces only narrow weavings.
Runners, therefore, are the local specialty.
The main, unique design
element is the central hooked medallion form which originated
with the Lori tribes people of Iran. The field and
borders are then covered with amazing animals, birds and
flowers. Camels, goats and horses have been spotted, and
many different species of flowers identified. You can
sit and stare at a Nasrabad weaving for hours and days at a
time and never know what you will find the next time you
check. Of course it helps if the staring also involves
chocolate or alcoholic beverages. Herbal teas will
suffice in a pinch.
Imagine being able to fill a
dingy hallway with something teeming with color and design.
It could be revolutionizing. They come in many different
lengths, so no hallway need go without.
